Global AI Coding / Agent Panorama White Paper· 2026
Put more than 30 AI programming and Agent tools around the world on the same table: two axes can clearly see the positioning, a fresh snapshot can identify zombie projects, and play according to scene, system, remote, and security. Attach a link to the complete design version.

In 2026, what really changes in writing code is not that a certain tool will become stronger, but that the rules of "how do people and machines work together" have changed the whole logic-from writing code for you to doing things for you; from passive tools to Agents that run on their own.
This report puts players around the world on the same table to see who is running, who is falling behind, who is dead, but you haven't received the obituary yet.
can see the overall situation clearly, as long as there are two issues
Don't use "interactive or autonomous" or "online or resident" to classify it-that's usage, not an attribute. If you place a scheduled task on Claude Code, it will still run on its own, and letting Hermes chat with you is also interactive. What can really nail a tool in place are two problems that it cannot change:
- ** Is it a special agent for writing code, or is it a universal Agent that can do everything? **
- ** Does it run in the hands of manufacturers (closed-source hosting), or is it in your own hands (open-source hosting)? **
The horizontal axis answers the first one, and the vertical axis answers the second one. More than thirty tools are in place.
capabilities are stacked layer upon layer, not replaced from generation to generation
In the past few years, AI programming has stacked capabilities one by one: first, you can complete them, then you can talk again, and then you can change across files, you can call tools yourself, and you can carry on a long task. The new ones have not been thrown away by the old ones. Every tool you use today stands on these five levels at the same time.
Therefore, there is a question mark when the saying "autonomous Agent is a qualitative leap": Put Claude Code on a scheduled task and it will run on its own-"Resident, self-initiated" is a deployment option that anyone can configure, not unique to a certain type of tool. Talent. So what are Hermes and OpenClaw? They package resident, cross-session memory, and dozens of message channels into out-of-the-box products, selling packaging and convenience, which is valuable in itself.
Looking at ## in a year, six definite directions
- ** Frontier is fighting a "base" battle, not an editor's battle. ** Antigravity rolled out five sides. Cursor reshaped the interface into a workbench that could stare at a team of agents in parallel, and also developed its own model (basically the dark side of the moon Kimi K2.5 continuation training). Windsurf was acquired by Devin's parent company, and its own model was developed on a dedicated chip. It can speed up to five to ten times faster than others.
- ** Open source does not mean eternal life. ** A star project (Gemini CLI) with 100,000 stars and more than 6,000 community contributions to PR stopped and replaced it with a closed-source successor;Roo Code was filed in May. When selecting a tool, you should first look at the final submission time and license, and compare it with the number of stars.
- ** China is already a complete pedigree. ** From Qoder CN, CodeBuddy, Trae, and Wenxin Express Code, to CodeFuse, SolonCode, and MonkeyCode that can be inserted into the intranet for private deployment-connecting DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, Kimi, and MiniMax is the default configuration.
- ** Parallel Agent is standard, and self-developed models are an arms race. **
- ** Resident Agent is a New World and a New Mine Area **(see Security below).
- ** Domestic products can be self-consistent and closed loop on the three paths of "cloud + local + privatization". **

QKPFX14 How to choose QK for ordinary people
- ** Occasionally use ** → Cloud App (Claude, Button, Tongyi), don't touch deployment, and the monthly fee is capped at more than ten to twenty yuan.
- ** Want a helper **(emails, sorting, reminders, regular crawling information) → Resident Agents (such as Hermes), using WeChat, flying books, and nails for remote control, you need a normally open machine.
- ** loves to toss **(saving money/emphasizing privacy) → Self-hosting + local model (Ollama runs Qwen / GLM / DeepSeek open source version).
Three red lines: Don't streaking to expose the port; don't give it unlimited permissions and your wallet; don't fully automatically stock it.
is outside, how to connect it to WeChat, Flying Book, and Nail
Tools such as Resident Agents natively support overseas platforms such as Telegram and Discord. You must be aware of the channels you use every day:
| channels | Can you answer it? | note |
|---|---|---|
| Flying book/nail | ③ Recommended | Official robot + Webhook, self-built is the most smooth |
| enterprise WeChat | Ø Available | To be able to push news to personal WeChat, corporate qualifications are required |
| Weixin Official Accounts/Customer Service | △ Restricted | Subject to platform rules |
| WeChat personal number | High risk | There is no official API, third-party agreements are gray, and the risk of being sealed is high |
Individuals who want WeChat instant access are the most stable way to go to corporate WeChat or Feishu; teams can directly access the Feishu/Nail robot.
The greater the ## capacity, the more you need to lock the door
Resident agents hang on the Internet 24 hours a day that "can execute commands, read files, and spend money". This is a new attack surface. Real case: OpenClaw's "ClawJacked" vulnerability (CVSS 8.8)-If you click on a malicious web page, it can take over the Agent through your local browser, without requiring you to open a port or a public IP. Security agencies also found that more than 220,000 instances were exposed to the public network.
Hardening list (no system selection): Don't open ports if you can (chat platforms are purely outbound); treat the browser as an attack surface; give the minimum permissions; let it work in the sandbox; patch must be followed; such key actions as delete/send/pay/publish must be in the loop.
fell to one sentence
The most critical question in 2026 is not "which Agent is the strongest", but--** Whose foundation does your workflow run on, whose hands does your data keep, and who will bear the burden if something goes wrong. **
